Rename doors and mark each door Active or Inactive. Inactive doors are hidden from everyone, including administrators, and cannot be unlocked.

Future Sterling Access Control updates can be installed with the included update utility. It automatically backs up the current version and preserves your users, passwords, panel credentials, door names, and server settings.
Add or rename locations, enter each facility address, and manage the access-control panels assigned to each location.
Enter the physical street address for each location, then locate it. The saved latitude/longitude is used for GPS distance calculations.
Update each panel's built-in Web Controller username and password. Existing passwords are never displayed.
Create Admin or User accounts. Admins can access every door. User accounts only see and unlock doors you select below. Users cannot change their own username or password.
Compare the device GPS position with each Sterling location before an unlock. Normal unlocks proceed normally, Alert unlocks require confirmation and email the configured recipient, and Maximum distance attempts are denied for non-admin users. Administrators may override Maximum after a warning and the override is logged.
Normal is at or inside the Normal distance. Alert must begin on the next foot after Normal. Each location has its own Maximum / Distance Allowance below. Policy distance is calculated as measured distance + GPS accuracy. Alert unlocks require a second confirmation and send email. Maximum attempts are denied for non-admin users; admins may override after a warning.
Use your organization's SMTP server. Changes to the email fields are saved automatically to the server and are used by the next GPS alert. The SMTP password is encrypted on this server and is never displayed after saving.
Email settings save automatically when changed.
